I arrived at Killarney's fresh from a few days detoxing in Denver. Nothing makes you want a beer like detox. Reese, Rebecca, her son Tyler and Pods had a table and eying menus to get a nice meal. Other TDDoCer's started filing in and we pulled every open table together to make one long banquet table. The G's, E's and Bennie and his wife arrived and they all pulled up to the table and grabbed some Irish nachos. Quesadillas seemed to be the meal of choice, I noticed a bunch them on the table. At the bar, Brandy and Rita along with Pat Worth's sister were vegging out. Killarney's is known for the very best veggie burgers in the state of NJ.
We have few favorite bartenders on the TDDoC, but I think only 1 favorite waitress. Sarah has been our waitress for as long as we have been going to Killarney's. She is an attractive young lady with a sort of Amy Winehouse hair do. There are a few other things you can count on at Killarney's. That guy that sits on the bar stool in the corner that looks like Paul senior from East Coast chopper is always there. It is believed that he is there every night of the week. The few of us that stayed late actually saw him leave. There is a reason why he sits there; it is because he is drunk. When he was leaving he almost fell over into Sophia. The bouncer escorted him to the door and handed him his car keys.
There are a couple of other memorable things you can count on at Killarney's, and they are on the barmaids chests.
As to the drinking, I was all over the cheap happy hour beer. The shot of the day was a drink called the "Naughty". I was told that it lived up to its name. It was cinnamon and mint flavored drink that was tasted like Scope. ROTY candidate, Michelle missed it originally, but when she returned from choir she had one with Sophia.
It seemed Sandor may have reeled in a few LMCO guys that happened to be at the bar that he knew from work.
So our table was now full of people and the music stops and the DJ starts to talk over the microphone. He says "There is a special group of people with us here tonight..." I think to myself, no Scuggi, don't do it."...they celebrate every year, the twelve drinking days of Christmas, and I think that is really cool". I knew instantly, Sterns, must have been talking to him.
So with 10 days down, we cleared out early, leaving Sandor with his LMCO friends. We are off to the Princeton Pub crawl Friday night. We will start at Winberries. If you miss us there, you will find us at the Yankee Doodle Tap room. There was talk about doing this last week and it seems that Justin Timberlake didn't get the email. He was spotted last Friday at the Ivy asking everyone if they knew where the TDDoC was. We were going to do it last week, but Mertz wanted this Friday, so given the choice of partying with Mertz or Timberlake, we choose Mertz. No one can "bring sexy back" like Mertz.
Ten nasty Naughty shots
Ten silicone filled breasts
Ten steps before a drunk Paul Senior look alike needed help out of the bar.
Ten bar tables pulled together
Nine potato and cheese perogies
Eight coldest beers in town
Seven drunks dodging across Old Trenton Road
Six free drinks from Julie and Art
Five Washington apple shots
Four Fumbling Servers
Three Oatmeal Cookie Flaming Apple Pies
Two vampire bartenders
And an old man yelling 'get off my damn lawn’

Day 9 Stats: The Presidents
Part 1, by Scugi
3:54 PM an urgent email from Crack Pipe makes all connected TDDoCers alert of a horrific accident at 295 and Route 1, an area that should be avoided at this time of year at all costs. Scugi is coming from the South and sees no problems and arrives at the LEB at 5:15 PM only to find Uji sitting a table, by himself, doing a double handed faceplant. He obviously believes he has been duped, there are no Euro barmaids and a wall menu in Polish, and he is going to spend the night looking for the right location. I put his mind at ease. He spills his guts to me for a few minutes and then relates an incredible exciting TCE (Thermal Control Electronics) story where the entire DMSP program hung on 100 Delrin washers which he was able to expedite, whew!
Mosso arrives and immediately assigns me the job of putting together stats, I was planning to write them anyway and letting him feel that he now has stepped into a position of power is good for his ego, after all he did break his @ss this year, tough muddered and put over 50 balls into the woods at PCC (more about Woods later)
Sophia and Reese arrive, Reese is feeling the TDDoC effects or is catching the typical Christmas throw up, scratchy throat thingy and she has been stuck in traffic for an hour coming from P'ton. Aldona stolls in and immediately takes over the job of LEB shift lead. We place food orders, Uji asks for sausage and Aldona almost tosses him from the bar, there is no sausage in Poland. LEB rapidly fills with partyers before our food arrives, more food orders go in, we bring the kitchen to its knees, in no time at all there are at least 16 meals on the tables, Aldona does it single handedly (well she doesn't cook it) and only screws up my (Reese's) pierogies and everyone is happy.
Trent has brought study material to the table with a reading light and is able to demonstrate the fatherly skills taught to by E, ie bar studying in a noisy, low light drinking establishment, he really is a chip off the old block. EDITOR”S NOTE: Trent was not studying, he was evaluating the results of his PSATs and seeing that his answer appeared to be marked incorrect in places that it was correct. Trent plans to storrn ETS and demand answers. Hopefully Celeste can go into the database at work tomorrow and fix the scores.
WHY ARE MY EARS RINGING, was it that noisy?
G was able to locate, in the digital archives of useless material, a copy of the long misplaced unfinished (at 11 holes) mythical Tiger Woods v Markland beer per hole match. This infamous match took place in the late 90's and was documented in the early part of the century. The setting, Tiger was on top of the WORLD, dating a Swedish knockout and BB (Markland) was day trading from the famous Billmar hotel in P'ton. Some reminiscing took place which brought smiles and unanswered questions to mind. Will this piece ever be finished, will the partially digested hot dogs and sauerkraut reappear, will someone step up with and Epi pen and get Tiger out of the anaphalactic shock induced by the bee stings.....
Hole 12
The tee is backed up as usual with high school kids, BB decides to power nap on the bench next to the tee box, players from the 6th hole run in to Tiger's aid, give a quick shot of adrenaline and he starts to come around. BB wakes unexpectedly, this is where the hot dogs and sauerkraut reappear. Tiger calls an infraction on BB for wasting food and alcohol, it is denied by the judges, the match goes on...............
Back to LEB, Sophia is still bringing in friends from PA, what an asset.
Trent finishes his studying and now joins the party, he really is Jr E, so much fun
I get E riled up with some talk of his old boss at SES and he still hates him, this must bethe one person in the world that he hates, he has his, I have mine, Bobo has his.........G has none (ha).
Lynn and Rebecca seem to be comfy at their far end of table, I believe Monday nights Marjong game is being reviewed and the actually have a strategy session in progress. Felicia makes a second appearance, 2 in row, great to see her getting out, I know she is a party animal.
Part 2, by Trent
Let me begin by saying that I am about 5 coffee tequila shots deep as I write these stats. I can already tell you I won’t be waking up until at least 11 tomorrow, and I will look like that dude from The Hangover. They say when you’re drunk the opposite sex seems even more attractive. Well they must be right, because ALL the girls on the TV are extremely hot. And why are there two Miss U.S.A.’s? And why do they both look exactly the same as each other? All good questions. All I know is this picture is all I will have to remember why I have that pounding headache in the morning.
(Believe it or not, I am stone cold sober in this picture. Also, in case you didn’t get the hint, I am watching the Miss Universe pageant so they are, in fact, all extremely good looking.)
This picture is for the use of private audiences and may not be used for sale without the express written consent of the TDDoC.
Alright so first off, I would like to say thank you to all the people that came out last night to the LEB. Since I was writing stats, I decided to be social, and you people I usually glance at across the bar are actually quite interesting. I learned a lot about things like old workers at Lockheed and the Marklin vs. Tiger golf outing. In order to fit in with the rest of the guys drinking around the bar, I took out the straw in my diet coke and carried it around like a beer glass. I held a conversation with Ska, Scugi, Yo, Rebecca, Russ, Gman, and a few others I am forgetting, which is probably a new record for me.
The LEB is definitely an interesting place. I can see why it became the Wednesday night bar a few years ago. There is a certain charm about not being able to read the menu, and the pierogies were excellent. I also like the parking lot camera so you can watch the inappropriate things your car does while you’re not around. Speaking of being inappropriate, did everyone see the weird show they were showing on the center TV over the bar? WEIRD. That was probably not for my young eyes, but oh well. What happens in Larry’s Euro Bar stays in Larry’s Euro Bar. 9 people did shots last night for day 9, and I think that this should become a tradition where whichever night it happens to be, that many people take shots. In order for that idea to become a reality, Day 1 will take a lot of restraint and Day 12 will take a lot of “volunteers”. Maybe we can institute this TDDoC 2013?
One last thing. I would like to announce on Monday at JoJo’s I defeated Gman in a presidential duel. As we went back and forth naming presidents, he stumbled on who came after President James A. Garfield (For all you nonbelievers, it’s Chester A. Arthur). After saying two incorrect answers, I had to tell him the answer. As a result, I have given him a few days to refresh his memory and we have committed to a rematch on Day 12 of both presidents and vice presidents. While the rules are not set in stone, we do know that the duel will have to come before Gman starts his second drink to make sure the playing field is even.
EDITOR’S NOTE: During the duel, Trent received a phone call from a friend, whom he immediately told “I’m in a bar having a presidential duel, I can’t talk now.” Incidentally, the friend was Jenna, who pointed on Day 1. No truth to the rumor that she was trying to pull one of those Dorian “phone-in” point requests.
Back to Scugi Part 1
Things start to wind down and a trip to the Vault is tabletopped as the Newtonian's are believed to be there. Pods leads the way driving 80 mph in Camaro, I follow Bobo, who gets lost, takes the perceived wrong route and we beat Pods to the Vault by 15 minutes. It's just Pods, Bobo, Sophia and Scugi, place is crowded, lots of uneaten pizza on the tables (bad sign) but we do a quick one and out, Dark Heffy, a Belgian blondes were sampled.
Part 3, by Bobo
- Crowd winding down at Larry's Euro Bar at around 8:30 or so - Stomach is happy with good Schnizel
- 4 of us breakaway and decide to hit the PA Crew for a point at the Vault (Bobo, Pods, Scugi, Sophia)
- Arrive at the Vault by several different routes - No PA crew in da house - Scugi places WHYYY text to Sharon A.
- It appears they were there earlier...
- Beer wasn't bad
- I had the American Stout
- Pods telling I&T stories
- One beer for each of us and we are out close to 10 PM - CPL a no-show despite texts to him (shocking)

Day 8 Stats: Make a Left Turn
Dacey's Pub by Mosso
For a second year in a row Dacey’s Pub is visited by the TDDoC crowd. It is quickly become a favorite of the group and we had a huge turnout. Sophia is anxious to get the night’s festivities started and is first to arrive. Since this is her place she will have no problem screaming a loud WHYYYYYY??? into her phone, but the WHYYYYYYY? call she tries to place goes unanswered! The WHYYYYYY??? call communication system has not been working well this year, but steps are being taken to improve its reliability.
At work I’m discussing the location with Milot, he knows exactly where it is and is able to recite point-by-point directions on how to get there, "Morrisville is my town!" he is heard to exclaim. How is it that he knows where every bar in the tri-state region is? Anyway, I enter the bar with Milot and it’s packed, at least half the crowd is TDDoCers. Many locals are seen throughout the night entering the front door of Dacey’s with a shocked look wondering what has happened to their quiet little neighborhood bar. The usual crowd is there (we know who they are), plus assorted Sophia sisters, sister-in-laws, and friends. Felicia make a first appearance for the year, as well as UJI (we’re lucky to have him). Cary Clark gets a first lifetime point and amazingly is now the leading contender for ROY. Niel and Pat Haneman and Michelle also make rare appearances, I’m sure the PA venue helped with that.
We get three old time TDDoCers who now live in Pennsylvania to make appearances; Billy Bob, CPL and Bobo. Tuesday night is half priced wings and Billy Bob is sitting at the bar with an order of 350 wings served in a large warming tray. CPL does show up, every year when it comes my time to write the stats I would always note him as absent. Since he did show up and actually helped close the bar there’s not much else to say. However, it’s still a mystery how these gentlemen can make it all the way to Morrisville, which is as close to New Jersey as you can get, but can’t quite seem to make any of the NJ venues. You know there is an invention called a bridge, and on these bridges you can operate a motor vehicle that can cross the river, and several of them are free. Try using one of them once in awhile.
My area of bar is having relatively intelligent conversations. Typically talk about unions (apparently this is a hot topic because we’ve discussed this two nights in a row), Target Xmas shopping hours, book clubs, and choir. Recruitment for male members of the Pennsbury Community Chorus goes on. Believe me, nobody would ever want to hear me sing, perhaps Niel will give it a go. However, the question does come up, why aren’t we going for Karaoke night at the Americana Diner this year?
Other areas of the bar seem to be much more lively. The Sophia family and friends table has many people coming and going throughout the night and they were still going strong when the regular TDDoCers cleared out for the night. Then there was the other table, for lack of a better title let’s call this the CPL table. I don’t really know what was being discussed over there, but some of the details can be found in the stats adders.
One last comment before we get to the stats adders. There is rumor afoot that Mike the Homicidal Maniac is planning to make a surprise visit to LEB tonight. Eman you have been forewarned!!

Stats Adders from CPL (this author is not responsible for the content):
-- As advertised, Dacey's does appear to have the COLDEST DRAFT BEER IN TOWN!
-- Random Question in the middle of an unrelated conversation from an unnamed Altima driver "Were you in a sorority"?
Response from someone whose name might rhyme with geese: "Why, because I have big b**bs?"
-- CPL: "I don't have an iPhone"
BB:"how do you look at p0rn at work?"
-- Eman "What Kind of (different) shot do you recommend for our partygoers?"
Bartendress: "Chocolate Pretzel"
Eman:"we already had those on another nite of TDDoC"
Anonymous: "What kind of shot were the girls in the Dacey's website photogallery doing"?
Bartendress : "Oh, you guys don't want one of those...they were doing bl*wj*bs"
All participate in a few minutes of sophomoric commentary and then drink something that tasted like jolly ranchers
-- All...."Why does this place smell like cheap cigars and Guinness vomit?
UJI walks back into the bar after a smoke outside
-- Bobo arrival from the PA chapter event...hugs for all....consumes the obligatory 2 drink point minimum
-- Erin(?) pounding kamikazee shots with Uji
-- After completing all levels of Resident Evil on his iPad, Trent patiently waits for his Dad to exit...."he's been leaving for a 1/2 hour"
-- Day 8 taking its toll on Iron Joe
-- Be very, very, very, very careful if Schutzie starts to pull you aside and utters the phrase "I have to show you something". Consider yourselves warned.
-- The Men's Room is NOT located straight ahead near the Ladies room at Dacey's and the locals at the end of the bar will shout at you until you "MAKE A LEFT TURN" to get to said Men's Room (Author’s note: I did this too but was stopped by one of the servers. How does she know I just didn’t want to peek into the ladies’ room?)
-- Rumored alternate location of Day 9 : The waiting room at Tamps' Dentist Office
-- UJI : "The TAP Room is the best place ever to watch sports because of the 4 TVs"
Innocent bystander: "You may want to visit Buffalo Wild Wings ... or to any place other than the Tap Room"
5 minute discussion about the all the merits of the TAP room and its ability to satisfy even the most discriminating sports' enthusiasts by UJI
Innocent bystander rejects them all
-- Anonymous FB user admits that he uses the site to troll for other mixed-marriage couples so they can tag each other in photos, post to instagram and send private tweets to each other.
Stats adders from Bobo:
-- Bobo on a mission last night to garner a point in each chapter at separate locations (not a joint night)
-- Locations last night were only 5 minutes apart if that
-- Meet up with the PA crew who still had about 8 or so going strong at Great American Diner
-- Question on rule for Rookie of the Year came up as they have two drinkers in contention this year > TDDoC rule is based on MLB rule: "The current standard of 130 at bats, 50 innings pitched or 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club (excluding time in military service or on the disabled list) before September 1 was adopted in 1971." So based on a typical full MLB season of say 500 at bats on average, this equates to about 30%. Translating this to TDDoC attendance, 30% of12 is 3.6 - rounding up to 4. So no more than 4 points in any previous year will maintain ones rookie status. However, the Comite Secreto broke this rule in 2010 when Reese was awarded the award despite her having 5 points in 2009. So be it.
-- Bobo still on a mission so hit and run for one beer with the PA crew and off to find Dacey's.
-- Driving by the Red Raven and Sugar & Sweet gentlemen's clubs on the way reminds Bobo that a TDDoC event has never been hosted at a Go-go bar - maybe someday...
-- Arrive at Dacey's to find Felicia, Hanemans, Sophia & friends, Reese, Sandor, CPL, Pods, Mosso and Uji still going.
-- Have a few and then successfully navigate back roads back to Buckingham by 10:30 or so...Mission accomplished!
Totals through Day 8
